About Us

The idea for I&A began to take shape when its founders, Luna and Sarah, then graduate students at CIIS, recognized a gap between the institution’s stated values and students’ lived experiences. Working with the Student Wellness Center, they successfully designed a program to address that gap. Through the process, they discovered that they worked well together, excelled at building community, and found the work deeply fulfilling. A decade later, inspired by that experience, Marriage and Family Therapist Luna Lucas and Doctor of Clinical Psychology Sarah Lockenmeyer launched I&A.

Our Mission

At I&A, we know the workspace is a vital setting for mental health. Fostering a workspace culture that centers psychological safety and quality of life improves overall well-being. I&A—short for Integration & Awareness—was created from the founders’ combined experience in mental health, corporate culture, and wellness. Our mission is to help organizations integrate their stated values into everyday practice and cultivate embodied awareness of those values.

Our Strategy

I&A’s strategies deepen professional development and self-awareness, and enhance empathy and communication. Putting these strategies into practice equip teams to navigate change, conflict, and daily stressors with collaborative, productive cognitive frames. Participants learn to identify and avoid unhelpful mindsets and move from “problem” to “possibility,” reducing burnout while improving productivity and satisfaction.

Our strategies include targeted skill-building, using applied neuroscience, emotional intelligence training, and practical mindfulness techniques. Application of these strategies offers a tangible approach for workplace leaders and their teams to improve workplace satisfaction and shift overall workplace culture!

Our Process

Interventions begin with a needs assessment tailored to your organization. We consult with leadership to identify skill gaps and co-design a program aligned with your values. We help leaders employ techniques to strengthen cohesion through emotional intelligence, trust, and clear communication. Applied mindfulness supports leaders in managing pressure, cognitive overload, and anxiety. We work with larger workplace teams to implement a unifying skillset. Teams find cohesion with leadership through implementing tools including emotionally intelligent language and strategies for maintaining psychological safety. Teams and leadership walk away with an expanded framework for understanding and navigating the workplace challenges.

Enrolling in an I&A program helps organizations move away from burnout culture toward a sustainable, purposeful, and joyful way of working—a powerful outcome that drives our passion for this work.

Join us in our mission to work with constriction as a gateway to explore and move towards expansion. Together, we will introduce a new intelligence in the workplace.
